Confirmation
Confirmation Class at Cornerstone is for 8th and 9th graders. It’s designed to help students develop their own faith by learning and wrestling with Christianity’s foundational beliefs. We want students to bring their biggest faith questions to the table with a group of peers led by an adult mentor. The goal of the mentoring process is to provide a more personal relationship for prayer, discussion, and accountability during a time when big questions are asked. Confirmation is an important journey for students as they discover the answers to these questions.
If a student hasn’t been baptized previously, baptism is an option during Confirmation, as is being confirmed as a member at Cornerstone.
Confirmation 2023-24 will be Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM at the 84th and Heritage Hill campuses and at 9:30 AM at the South Wyoming Campus. It will run from September 17 through February 25.
Confirmation is fast-paced, covering lots of material, and so it is important that students do not miss more than two classes during the year. Parents need to be ready to commit to Confirmation being a priority and their child’s consistent attendance.
There is a $35 cost to cover materials. You may pay online with this registration.
Be sure to register by Sept. 24. Thank you!
