NAMI: Family to Family
It can be overwhelming. As a loved one of a person with mental illness, you face unique challenges: social stereotypes and stigma, complex family dynamics, unpredictable aspects of the illness.
NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health) is a trusted non-profit organization offering a free, evidence-based education class giving you information, crucial resources, and access to a community of people who relate to your experiences.
This class is for family members, significant others, caregivers, and friends of people living with mental illness. This free program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to the individual with a mental health condition, while maintaining your own and your family’s well-being. Those teaching this class are NAMI- trained, and they’ve personally been through the same challenges you’re facing.
NAMI: Family to Family is happening at Cornerstone’s 84th St. Campus (1675 84th St. SE, Caledonia, MI 49316), Thursdays, Feb. 6 – Apr. 16, 6-8:30pm.
