National Day of Prayer

National Day of Prayer

To observe the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 2, the public is welcome to spend some time in worship at our Prayer Path located at our 84th St. Campus. (1675 84th St, SE, Caledonia.) The self-guided path is under a mile in length and circles though nature in back of our worship center. There is plenty of seating at various spots, and much of the path consists of mowed grass. It might not be conducive to strollers, walkers or people with walking and balance concerns.

The National Day of Prayer was established as an annual event in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. The observance of the National Day of Prayer is founded on the constitutional rights of freedom of speech and freedom of religion and can be celebrated by all Americans. It is a non-denominational event. What you pray for is very personal. However, if you need inspiration, you are encouraged to pray for family, church, those in influence in our country and more.
