Cornerstone Church is collecting home care and personal dignity kits in collaboration with Midwest Mission.

About Midwest Mission

Midwest Mission sends tangible resources to those in need to make an intangible difference in their lives through hope and empowerment.

We never know when disasters like famine, hurricanes, war, flooding, fire or other events like the Earthquakes in southern Turkey and northwestern Syria will strike. Year-round, Midwest Mission is preparing for natural disasters that impact the United States and countries around the world. Midwest Mission is one of seven cooperating depots in the UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) supply network.

You can provide Home Care Kits and Personal Dignity Kits for Midwest Mission. You can place them in collection bins in the Hub at any of the Cornerstone Church Campuses. Providing these kits can help people who lack resources now and into the future when disasters happen. Thank you for your role in helping others during devastating circumstances.

Packing a Kit

Personal Dignity Kit

Items include:

  • 1 Hand towel - no kitchen towels
  • 1 Washcloth - no dishcloths
  • 1 Toothbrush - no multipacks
  • 1 Bar soap - 3 to 4 oz
  • 1 Shampoo - 12 to 19 oz
  • 1 Deodorant - 2 to 3 oz (stick, roll-on, or pump)
  • 1 1-gallon resealable plastic bag
  • $2 donation for razor and toothpaste

Home Care Kit

Items include:

  • Liquid household cleaners - 56-80oz total
    (no spray bottles)
  • Dish soap - 42-64oz total
  • Liquid laundry detergent - 100-150oz total
  • 1 scrub brush (with or without handle)
  • 5-gallon bucket with lid
  • Please add your heartfelt prayers to each kit
